Services & fees
How much do your services cost?
We work with flat fees agreed before starting, or with SmartFee, our monthly retainer: a package of legal hours that roll over and can be transferred. The amount depends on the case or plan, so we quote it after an initial conversation: use the form, call +502 5834-4922 or email contacto@smartlaw.gt.
Can you incorporate my company in Guatemala?
Yes. We incorporate corporations (sociedades anónimas), draft the articles of incorporation and shareholder agreements, and handle registration with the Mercantile Registry.
How do I book a consultation?
Through the contact form, by calling +502 5834-4922 or by emailing contacto@smartlaw.gt. We respond in record time.
SmartFee
What is SmartFee?
It is our monthly retainer: a package of legal hours, a legal department at your disposal, with plans of 4, 8 or 12 hours per month for corporate advice, contracts, notarial services, labor, tax, intellectual property, compliance and more. Hours roll over for up to 12 months and can be transferred to other companies or third parties. It can include an AI agent trained by us. Discover SmartFee.
What does "effective hours" mean?
Every SmartFee hour is real legal work. That is why we use technology and AI agents: so administrative work doesn't consume hours you would end up paying for and that carry no legal value.
What happens to hours I don't use?
They are not lost: they roll over for up to 12 months, and you can transfer them to other companies or third parties.
What does SmartFee not include?
The fee does not include legal costs, court or government fees, or taxes.
Technology & artificial intelligence
How do you use artificial intelligence, and what about confidentiality?
We use private AI agents precisely so data cannot leak: our clients' information is never uploaded to commercial AI models. AI improves our workflow and communication; legal judgment and final review always belong to a firm attorney, under attorney-client privilege.
What is the AI agent SmartFee can include?
It is an optional add-on: a private AI agent trained by SmartLaw that plugs into your business ecosystem to answer frequent questions, help prepare requests and base documents, and connect you with our lawyers when a matter calls for legal judgment.

Do Library materials replace legal advice?
No. They are general and informational. To assess your specific case, book a consultation with SmartLaw.
